官宣：利物浦大学决定于2020年关闭伦敦校区！

　　英国当地时间10月24日，利物浦大学官方通知，利物浦大学决定于2020年关闭伦敦校区！

　　The University has today announced it will be closing its London Campus at the end of this academic year. The campus, based in the city’s financial district, will continue operating degree programmes until summer 2020.

　　利物浦大学宣布将在本学年末关闭伦敦校区。该校区位于伦敦城市的金融区，将继续开展学位课程直至2020年夏季。

　　针对2020年秋季入学的学生申请不再接收，已递交伦敦校区申请的学生，后续可以选择主校区同等专业或替代专业。

　　利物浦大学教育负责人Gavin Brown表示：

　　The University of Liverpool was the first non-London based Russell Group university to open a campus in London, an achievement we are extremely proud of. For the past six years, we have delivered a professionally focused portfolio to an international community of postgraduate students and delivered innovative final year options to our undergraduates.

　　“作为罗素集团在伦敦开设校区的第一所非伦敦大学，利物浦大学伦敦校区为国际生群体提供了专业的作品集，并为本科生提供了创新的毕业选择。”

　　During this period however, our strategic priorities have evolved and we are now seeking to focus our energy> to students all over the world. This reflects our civic mission to achieve positive economic and social change and means that, regrettably, our strategic focus for the immediate future has moved away from maintaining a presence in the capital.

　　“学校对未来方向做了调整，将投资重点放在利物浦校园内推出的新一代在线课程，让世界各地的学生都可以访问该课程。我们对后续未来的战略重点已从维持伦敦校区的存在上转移开。”

　　利物浦大学伦敦校区在2013年正式对外招生，设立的目的是为了借助伦敦地区的区位优势，方便学生在毕业之后能够更便捷、更有效率地找到工作和实习机会。
